About
Hi, I’m Yoki.
My full name is Yokeshbabu. I trained as an engineer, and at 21 decided that travel was how I’d work out who I was. It started with backpacking on a budget I’d saved for six months. Then came a mountaineering course, then my own travel company, Hygge Journeys, then becoming a scuba diving instructor. And it keeps going.
When I started this blog back in 2015, I thought life was all about travelling to new places, seeing new things and meeting new people.
Over the years my perspective changed. I don’t want to travel to every place in the world anymore. I’d rather explore places and new skills together: learning things from scratch, and following whatever catches my interest. This blog is where I write it all down.
